Co-author, Review of the Roots of Youth Violence

As the co-author of the Review of the Roots of Youth Violence commissioned by the Ontario Government in 2008, Mr. McMurtry is in a unique position to speak to the debate resolution. Prior to serving as the chief justice of Ontario, Mr. McMurtry was Canada’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, attorney general and solicitor general for the province of Ontario. As part of Davis Government, Mr. McMurtry was involved in the patriation of the Constitution of Canada and the creation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
