Rededication of the Sir Winston Churchill statue on the
60th Anniversary of D-Day

Randy Barber, President, International Churchill Societies (Canada), Toronto Mayor David Miller, and Daniel Tisch, Chairman, Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy, cut the ribbon at the rededication of the Sir Winston Churchill Statute at Nathan Phillips Square.

The refurbished Sir Winston Churchill statue site at Nathan Phillips Square was rededicated on June 6, 2004. This event marked the culmination of a project launched by the Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy and the International Churchill Societies - Canada in October 2002 - the 25th anniversary of the unveiling of the magnificent Oscar Nemon statue of Sir Winston Churchill by his grandson, Winston Spencer Churchill, M.P.

New educational plaques on the different dimensions of Sir Winston Churchill's life and achievements will be in place at the entrance of the site.
