The Churchill Society Award for Excellence in the Cause of Parliamentary Democracy honours lifetime achievement and duty in the service of Canada's Parliamentary Democracy.  

Established in 1984, the Award continues recognize outstanding contributions by those who heed Churchill's call:

"It should be the duty of faithful subjects to preserve these parliamentary institutions in their healthy vigour, to guard them against the encroachment of external forces, and to revivify them from one generation to another."
